I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I said a concert for tailgating. And for flavors of iced tea, I thought peach but wrote lemon.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think I can pass for an American pretty well, but there are some basic tests I fail horribly at. Thankfully there were no food questions on the citizenship test.

I think the jury panel was as decent a cross-section of LA citizens as I've encountered in a while, and two things struck me--lots of accents and names I'd be likely to mispronounce (but mine wasn't mispronounced once, halloo Latino influence), and how am I not in the entertainment industry? All the cool kids are doing it, and evidently some of the dorks.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

there should not be flavors of iced tea

Should there also not be flavors of hot tea? Because I'll have mint or peach or lemon ginger or raspberry tea hot or cold. Earl grey, even, that's flavored.

information libertarian

Huh, "iced tea" in my mind is different from cold herbal teas, for example. I am fine with cold mint tea or, say, iced lemon zinger. Boy, the brain is weird. (I am not very fond of fruity hot teas unless they are herbal teas, but then I love blackberry sage (black) tea, so I guess I am a hypocrite.)

The status is NOT quo.

Flavored iced tea (from the ingredients, not a flavor pump) is awesome.

ETA: Mighty Leaf Ginger Peach tea is insanely good iced. It's a black tea.

Because books.

All I could think of for potluck was "covered dish supper" which was stretching it.

I put "sweet tea" for flavor of iced tea, which is also cheating, probably.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have heard of "potlatch" instead of "potluck"? Is that it?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I thought maybe a bring-and-share as a synonym for a potluck. or maybe a smorgasboard, but not in the south? Buffet?

Flavor of iced tea in my world can be strawberry (yum made with fresh berries of course) or passion fruit iced tea.

I didn't know Varsity and I couldn't think of another tailgating event. Or passed down recipes. But now that I think about it, I'd think pecan pie is a passed down recipe in my world.

I also put "sweet" for flavor of iced tea. Heh.

I put pie crust as a passed-down recipe, but who knows.

I put banana for flavor of Moon PIe--now, granted, I always get just the regular chocolate one, but I always gape when I see banana and wonder if anyone buys it...:)

We both had shitty enough days that we weren't up for company. Score?

So I'm home with Loki curled up against me and Bones.
