Zenni won't fill my prescriptions. Beyond what they handle.

I didn't see any I really liked at Zenni for everyday, but will go back and see about fun. I ended up ordering from Coastal Contacts, which in the end wasn't super cheap, but still way cheaper than I've ever paid for glasses before.
I have three pairs of these: [link] in different colors that I love. But I like this shape. And several sunglasses because I worry less about the frames and attractiveness in sunglasses.
That link didn't take me to any pair in particular, but I did just go through and confirm that even their cheapest frames would be $90 in my prescription, which is way cheaper than the typical ones I've gotten, but still actual money. So that makes me feel better about the $150 or whatever I spent at the other company.
So, this is why I get mad at CNN and think it is worthless at times:
And you just know they cut straight from that infographic to a screenshot of Twitter.
I tip delivery guys a LOT - I live in a 4th floor walkup so anyone willing to bring food to my door deserves a huge bonus. (I don't tip Fedex or UPS, but I do give them $$ at Christmas.)
Argh -- Jesse, it was the third pair on the left side.
$90! Whoa. Yeah, spending $150 on what you like totally makes sense.
It's 6:15 AM. I just ordered $70 in pizzas.
Those were the ones that caught my eye! And yeah, I need the $80 lens upgrade for my one bad eye. Which is part of why glasses store glasses usually cost me like $400. That, and my expensive taste.
Zenni works for me because my prescription is so basic -- I usually end up paying $20 or so. My usual glasses at my optometrist cost me like $200 and my insurance another $250. It seems a good trade off.
But my prescription hasn't changed in years so I have a stockpile of glasses now.
My students have the AP exam today. I gave them goodie bags yesterday and sent a text to all of them this morning saying GOOD LUCK! I really like this group of kids. It makes it hard to think about next year because I dislike some of those kids already.
I actually find that I don't need the lens upgrade for my one bad eye as long as I get plastic frames. I am -5.00
I just spent about $50 on 5 pairs, including 3 sunglasses.
I'm -6.25, so I get scared. Since I do like thick frames, I could probably do a step down on the thinness, but I get scared.
