So, I decided my hesitation about getting my hair cut at a non-black barber was just silly, since buzz cutting is buzz cutting, and I can almost do it myself. Hence, last haircut.
It's growing back in funny, and I'm going to need to get it cut way earlier than I'd normally bother. NOT EVEN. Not fair.
I buzzed Ben's hair the other night! I had to trim it first, though, because I think the home clippers aren't as powerful as the barber's. It actually looks pretty good.
I have stupid hair at my nape. Which I can't buzz evenly. This lady didn't get the hair above my ears evenly, apparently. It's horrifying.
Speaking of hair, I found out about this site a few days ago, and I think I'm about to get a free haircut out of it! Hopefully I won't regret it...
Jess, I didn't pay for a haircut for years, and it generally worked out fine. You just have to be flexible and/or have low-ish standards and/or requirements.
I am really doing the walk of shame through my email -- so many things I should have dealt with weeks ago. Ah well...
Jess, you can also look under Beauty Services on Craig's List and search for Hair Model. You can often get free color too.
I haven't been able to find a free color offer yet that will do blue/purple - the students are generally restricted to the house brands.
I'm going to finally try and dye my hair tonight. I've got all my supplies, and it's just a matter of sucking it up and doing it. I'm going boring--just a dark brown/red.

I'm dying my hair tonight, too, my usual blue-black. And I'm helping a friend dye her hair burgundy/violet.
