What should I do, then? Send her a gift? Sacrifice? … Unholy fruit basket?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am home from Vegas, which was fabulous.

As expected, -t is a fabulous Vegas companion, but it's been decided it's probably a very good thing that we don't go out to eat together very often, at least for our bank accounts.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My doctor asked me yesterday if something was wrong with. That's a weird question for a migraine doctor to ask, no? As things stand, for some reason I'd been feeling that the scar by my mouth was really obvious that day, so I just muttered something about that, but what was he expecting?

Ah, well, I should just be grateful that I saw him, even if we have no concrete plans that I know how to spell.

Librarian Warlord

Yay for fabulous Vegas vacations!

Yesterday Prince Charles visited the Supreme Court librarians, and they were all charmed. The day before the SF Giants were at the court. What a weird week they're having.

Also, the head of the National Counterterrorism Center (Michael Leiter) is the ex-husband of an acquaintance of mine, and so I know that he was remarried last weekend. So, for anyone who thought that Obama might have put off the OBL raid so that the royal wedding wouldn't be interrupted, um, no. If they didn't care about ML's wedding timing, they didn't care about the Windsors'.

ita, I'm sorry that the doctors are so utterly, completely unhelpful.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am home and awake and not only lacking Coffee Elves but also lacking Perkins volunteering to get coffee while I am dithering about whether it would be better for me to attempt to get dressed before I have coffee or just go down to the lobby in my pajamas.

Perkins + Vegas = Good Times, if anyone wasn't sure about that.

BTW, Bacon Cheddar Scone, actual scone or baked good of some other type that has been scandalously misnamed?

I hope the migraine specialist is of more actual help than it sounds like, ita.

Ugh, I hate the migraine specialist and everyone else I know right now. Last night was remarkably sleep free. I have to see what I can do about the work day.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm pretty sure I'll have to eat a few of those before I can make that call.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, ita. I'm pretty sure just having a doctor's appointment is not actually a net plus if they don't do anything for you.

I would also like a bacon-cheddar scone, but maybe will have to call it a biscuit? Is that any better?

Speaking of doctors, I'm going to the eye doctor today, and am seriously considering Zenni for new glasses. Has anyone actually used them? Anything I need to know?

Thanks guys.

Zenni I have heard of, and I don't know if I've ever seen an ad. Definitely seen them recommended here, Jesse.
