I feel surprisingly reluctant to cheer about someone's death, despite having supported the hunt for him for ten years. But I hope this results in less carnage in Afghanistan rather than more, and ultimately lessens the need for us to maintain a military presence there.
This. Although I also like to think of it as a belated birthday present for one of my oldest friends, who lost her high school sweetheart to that maniac. Hopefully this will bring some sort of closure for her and all those who lost a loved one on September 11th.
