"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I think she looks great. Even though that sort of thing doesn't appeal that much.

Let me be contrary about kate's dress and say it was too simple for the occasion.

I kind of agree. I don't think it was too simple for the occasion, but I think I was expecting something more modern and elaborate from the house of McQueen. It didn't have to be meringue, but I was expecting something a little fashion forward. This seemed like a dress I've seen a million variations of.

ETA: I did not like Diana's dress at the time. And I remember it being very wrinkled when she got out of the carriage.

Art Crawl!!!

That poor kitty. It's paying for it's owners stupidity.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This seemed like a dress I've seen a million variations of.

But beautiful!

The fashion person I heard on the TV was not psyched about the dress, either, though.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Definitely not fashion forward, but a great callback to Princess Grace's dress and, if it brings backs sleeves, I will be thrilled to pieces!

Loved Pippa's dress as well. They both looked stunning.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The real question is why Chelsy Davy looked so busted. I mean, her family's rich, right? She should know by now how to dress for a fancy royal Do. [link]

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That cat looks not nearly as miserable as I would expect at being held half in the water like that.

I completely forgot about the wedding, but the pictures linked here were really enough for me. I imagine there was a lot of compromising on the dress, between what Kate wanted to wear, what Buckingham Palace wanted, and what the designer wanted to show off. The end result is pretty, which is all the opinion I really have.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I liked the dress, which surprised me. It's very classic and classy. Tasteful, but not overly bland. She wore the dress, it did not wear her.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Heh. I love the Fug Girls' caption for this picture of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark:

So, this lady unwittingly caused a change in the Danish constitution to allow women to ascend to the throne (because it became clear her parents weren't going to have any male children), and is also apparently an accomplished painter whose illustrations appeared in the 1977 and 2002 Danish-language printings of Lord of the Rings, she is apparently also a gifted costumer, and she's had both knees replaced. In short, she is badass and when is Helen Mirren going to play her?

I like the wedding dress. It will be hard to copy - cheap lace looks like crap - and doesn't adapt very well for cocktail or prom, which a lot of people have been talking about. Which is to its advantage. Pippa's dress will be copied like mad, I bet, though. It was lovely too, and a little racier. Girls would wear that to prom.
