I'm watching Dressage (day 2) at Rolex. . . Mark Todd is up next.

Yikes and congrats, Brenda?
In other celebrity news, January Jones is pregnant. Who's the baby's daddy?? [link]
job ~ma to Kat.
I wish I had watched this morning-- I clearly remember Charles and Diana's AND Andrew and Fergie's weddings.
I am all weirdly nervous because I am in a "staged reading" tonight, and I have not acting in 16 years. And I do not really enjoy acting. And I am doing a favor for a friend who is a director, but he is driving me crazy because we have no blocking and we have never rehearsed the full thing and up until last night we were just sitting in chairs but now we are entering and moving about, which is super awkward for me.
I really do not want to make a fool of myself.
However, I realize I really miss directing, so I may have to bite the bullet and do some acting so I know people.
Recovery~ma to the people and pets affected by the storms.
And the reward for being awesome at your job is... more work!!!
Yay, awesome! Boo, nerve-wracking high profile work! Why is it never "We need to send someone the CEO really trusts to Cancun"?
I stayed a day longer than I intended in Nashville, because of the storm predictions. It was a good thing, since the EF4 tornado that hit Ringgold [link] plowed across I-75, taking out most of the motels and fast-food places at the exit, which were full of people who had stopped to take shelter from the storm. The drive back yesterday was slow, mostly from people rubbernecking at the damage. I hadn't seen "trees scattered like matchsticks" that close before. You can see them in the aerial shots [link] All along the road there were bits of twisted metal that used to be guard rails, billboards and a couple of semis.

Congratulations, Brenda! I think?
I've discovered that the field pretty much never does this little piece of mandatory review that they're supposed to do. Joy. Which I think means that I have to do it or it won't get done.
I dreamed this morning about a meeting I have on Monday. This is not reassuring.
Yikes and congrats, Brenda?
Yeah, that sounds about right.
And I will prove my dedication and general awesomeness by playing hooky this afternoon to go have drinks with a friend.

Um.
I had things I wanted to add to my wishlist. Why can I never remember them when I am ready and have time to actually add them?
Kate's tiny crown made me giggle. It looks ludicrous.
I wondered how it was kept on her veil. Glue?
What's with all the awesome ridiculous headgear? Is it a tradition to wear terrifying hats?
BBC seems to be replaying the whole blasted thing. I'm watching because, um, the tv is on.
And the reward for being awesome at your job is... more work!!!
Yeah, I discovered that the hard way, too. Much better to be only just competent - they won't fire you, but they won't load you down with a ton of shit.
Or, in observance of the day, a tonne of shite.
That tiny crown wasn't real, right?
