Ha! Sue, yes. Though, there are so many less traditional, more McQueen dresses that could have been chosen. Their is a retrospective of his work in Vogue that is lovely. [link]

Red is the color of his Army regiment.
His new official title is His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge, the Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus.

It's the dress suit of the Irish Guards. Which isn't the regiment he serves in, but has some honorary association with them. I guess he really wanted to wear red.
Beatrice's hat was a thing of gobsmacking wonder. Also, now I know where my holiday wreaths got to.
Who were the small children on the balcony?
(I like the gold shamrocks on the collar of the Prince's uniform.)
