Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

I do think the issue with Tiger, though, was that he was The Good Guy, the Family Man. The other sports figures who commonly sleep with those club girls don't get the public opprobrium that Tiger did. Because they're expected to sleep around, and they certainly don't get castigated for their sexual choices the same way the girls do. Tiger got in trouble for hypocrisy, and for breaking his marriage vows.

I have no idea if there's a discernible difference between "slut" and "tramp", although I have a gut instinct that "tramp" is also a class-based pejorative.

Punishingly Intricate

My friends in Tuscaloosa have lost their home and their cats are missing bur the humans are unharmed. Terrifying.

In other news, I just wasted ten minutes trying to figure out if this contractor was using "forbearers" properly in this report, and then gave up and told them to change it to "predecessors". Way less awkward.

Man, this report is written by the company I used to work for, and while the content is okay, the writing sucks. I can't believe they ran it past the tech editor before they sent it to us, so my very first comment is "Have the tech editor review this before you send it back. This is not to your standard."

Too harsh?

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Damn, lisah.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Tramp = someone who gets to hungry for dinner at 8. i.e., me.

Me, too! Also, I have never gone to Harlem in ermine and pearls, and I don't intend to.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have never gone to Harlem in ermine and pearls, and I don't intend to.

I thought we were gentrifying Harlem just so we could do this without repercussion?

Oh that's horrible, lisah. I hope the cats just went into hiding from the giant vacuum cleaner from the sky.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Only if it's faux-ermine though.

I hope so too, Frank. Also, that the husband didn't lose to many of his tools. He's a metalsmith (made our wedding rings). I dont know if he has a separate studio space or not. His wife, who is a printmaker and professor, does and it was not affected so that's something.

I just walked up to someone's desk and they were sleeping. I hightailed it out of there. I do not want to be the person that wakes him up. Too much contagious embarrassment.

I don't like these chocolate chips in my brownie. They're throwing off the texture.
