Owen was crying tonight and told me he felt like a bird in a cage that was never going to be let out. Normal anxiety or depression? Ooof. I'm glad he can put his feelings into words so well but this freaks me out.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Whoah. What did he mean by that? Like, he wanted to stretch his wings more and do things but isn't allowed to yet by age/permissions/ability? Or?
It sounds self-aware to me, Cash. Not a happy knowledge to have about yourself, though, and obviously going to cause sadness. I think if he were saying things like this daily, or his behavior had changed over the last few months, I would be more worried, but for now I think I would just encourage him to talk it out with you when he feels that way.
Not a parent, but what Amy said sounds reasonable.
Jesse! I submitted a video to the Good Stuff tumblr. My first submission, hope I did it right.
He just seemed anxious. We talked about it and then he said he worries about bad things--getting lost in the jungle, getting left behind, planes crashing, etc. He's amazingly self-aware but he's also learning faster than his emotions can keep up. I'll take some notes and discuss it with his pediatrician if it becomes a trend.
He's got the brain of a 10-11 year old in a 7 year old's body. I just want to smish him every day.
Oh, Owen, poor boo.
It's snowing. I'm not surprised, because that's spring in Utah, but dammit, it's nearly May. In a month it's going to be Too Damned Hot, and tonight we've got snow.
Be warned, people to the east.
Wisconsin is supposed to get some more snow on Wednesday. But we'll still be in sunny Florida! SUCK IT, WISCONSIN!

That can't be fun, especially when there's a chemical discrepancy. But I'm glad he can talk about it with you, Cashmere. That right there is a good sign.
Teppy, I did another shibari pic. Feel free to tell me to stop sharing my drawings with you.
Not only are there very few source pictures with bound men, there are very few pictures with more than just the bound person in them. But I'm only halfway through the internet at this juncture.

Hell, no! I like this one a lot!

Tim asked, "What else do you want? Like, a vase?" I now feel obligated to tie him up, stick a vase next to him, and take a picture.
But I'm only halfway through the internet at this juncture.
Tim just gave me the URL www DOT visiblerestraint DOT com. More men tied up. No vases, though.
You could join FetLife and lurk, but the one thing it does *not* have is photo galleries. People's profiles can have photos on them (and often do, into the multiple hundreds), but there are no photo galleries by topic (shibari, asshooks, whatever). So you'd have to know whose profiles to peruse to see specific stuff. (There are, OTOH, lots of groups organized by topic, and I suppose you could linksurf from a group to different people's profiles, assuming, for instance, that someone who posts in a shibari group with a user name of IReallyLoveRope would be someone with profile pictures of shibari. That's pretty inexact, though.)
