'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Love the pictures, Kathy!

Time to get on with the day here, including all the nasty little tasks I put off yesterday, like garbage out and kitty litters.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm so fucking tired. OMG. I was exhausted last night, but still slept like shit. Hate that!

And I didn't take out the trash, which was definitely a mistake. I wish I could predict (or see) if they would have come by the time I leave for work -- this morning, I could have taken it out on my way, but half the time that's too late. In short: MEH.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks for all the sympathy, guys. I'm a little at an impasse. I wish I hadn't already tried so many doctors. It makes the next one harder.

Called in sick to work. Just feel awful. I need to feel less awful by tomorrow.

I'm still taking one call, though. It just seems easier than rescheduling it.

Kathy, Cashmere, you look great!

Moved Mister Kitty to my regular vet. I feel better having him somewhere that knows him and his history, and with whom I've already had the Talk. He did not stabilize overnight.

And I honestly can't think or talk about it anymore if I'm going to keep my composure at work.

Would you prefer happy thoughts, or righteous indignation?

I need to grab breakfast and have a lie down.

Meanwhile, I got distracted by an idiot: Liz Jones on gender and sex. Is it because she's a columnist that she feels it's appropriate to say that these things apply to all women? Obviously some women lose their libido, but why say all? Why be that patently stupid?

Then again, she equates the "offense" of online porn with sleeping with prostitutes, so we weren't on the same page anyway.

Punishingly Intricate

Good thoughts for MK, sara. They'll take good care of him there.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hey, all. I need help with something actually cheerful -- my poor Buffistas have been having a shitty time of it.

I think most of you know that I will be trying to set myself up this June as an actual, no-shit, website and domain name, business-card, portfolio-havin' independent consultant for writing, editing, research (with small personal strategy and organization sidebars, but that's not the emphasis right now; writing is.)

So -- help me come up with a name?

I want to use Erin Lastname as part of it, definitely; I'm not required to set up as an LLC in KS if I'm using my name, and frankly, I don't plan on having employees; I want my business name to have MINE.

BUT...I have to have a tagline/domain name for my stuff. I don't just want to be ErinLastname.com. Right now, I'm thinking "Erin Lastname: Wordslinger for Hire" but I really want suggestions, feedback, ideas, practical tips. Keep it simple -- Erin Lastname, Freelance Writer, Editor, and Researcher (which I think is kind of boring) or....? What?

I'm planning on having this name on my webpage, business cards and flyers; I'm going to use DreamHost, so I'll need an email address: erin-------@wordslingerforhire.com or something. I'm thinking about using MailChimp, too, but I'm still researching, but this is break, so I want to bust ass on my business plan (I'm not seeking capital or a loan; I just want a business plan, because I AM VIRGO and I think a plan is useful.)

So...all you sexy people out there...ideas? Cautions? Links? Benefit of your experiences? Now the time for me to set my brainstorming out on the community at large, because, frankly, you guys are going to be my best resource.

(You can keep it to thread, but I also welcome emails at profile addy.)

THANKS GUYS!!!

Is 8am a reasonable time to disturb your apartment manager? My plans to return to bed were disturbed by nasty backup in my kitchen sink.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Is 8am a reasonable time to disturb your apartment manager?

Yes.

8 am is completely within business hours, ita.
