Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm watching the TV Land Awards. It's fun. I should clean my apartment, cook some stuff, and prep math things for next week. My sinuses hurt.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm off to a docent-led walk through Jepson Prairie in a little bit. Vernal pools! Wildflowers! Should be fun.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That sounds awesome, -t!

Right? The only downside is I have to get out from under this cat and get dressed to go.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy Easter to all who celebrate it.

The prairie walk sounds fun, -t.

ita, I hope the ER helped.

Today's a pretty laid-back day for me. It's warm and sunny outside, so eventually I'll probably go for a short walk. (Short because I wore my tevas for the first time this spring yesterday, and walked up some shiny new blisters. Still, it was a nice afternoon with several NC-istas and Tom Scola, so it was totally worth a couple of sore toes.) A friend invited me to her family's Easter dinner tonight, and that should be nice.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Matilda with new bunny ears.

A particularly pretty marbled egg that Matilda did.

The whole clutch, after they were found in our (wet) backyard.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Chocolate Bunnies and Creme Eggs! (Since Hookers and Blow are probably inappropriate for Easter Sunday.)

The doctor said this cough/chest congestion could linger for a month. Crap. It's nixed any chance of starting an exercise routine, that's for sure; the exertion of merely walking through the store and picking up a few bags of groceries left me shaky, sweaty, clammy, and lightheaded. I have to return to work tomorrow, and I'm dreading it. It's fortunate that I can do my job from my couch! But I don't know if I can concentrate for eight hours on the tedious minutiae of my job, much less deal with my petty demanding authors and my petty demanding psycho boss. Right now I'm doing laundry, and going up and down the stairs is pretty much enough to wear me out. I don't think this is going to be a fun month.

I'm getting the pig!

I saw a sign today at a park for a Spring Sphere Hunt. I'm assuming that they were attempting to steer clear of any religious connections but DH and I have been joking about it for the last hour now.

"I'll have the sphere salad sandwich, please."

"Bacon and sunny side up spheres, for me."

"Ooh! Are those deviled spheres? Pass them this way!"

For (late) breakfast we're having scrambled spheres and he's also preparing some hard boiled spheres to take to work.

But... eggs aren't spheres...

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Spring Sphere Hunt

But what is the connection between eggs and Jesus?
