Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Mac! And my mom. We spent the day together -- choir rehearsal for tomorrow, brunch out, then the local crossword tournament. Fun! Now I need to wash the shirt I want to wear tomorrow and go to bed early.

Huh. I guess I am rich, then...?

Well, I think it really relates to what someone else said about the difference between broke and poor (rather than rich vs. poor, which was how I had originally set it up), and feeling like that is the kind of investment that is worthwhile in the long run.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Happy Birthday, Mac! Wow, 10!

but I'm being cuddle attacked by a Loki, so it is hard to get the motivation to leave the house....

Kittenish cuddle attacked this morning and I ended up staying in bed a lot longer because she was sweet and then I dozed back off.

Last night when I got in bed, something around me smelled good and I realized I'd used a touch of Aveda's hair spray when I clipped my hair back for a party yesterday. But I was unmotivated to get back up and post about it. Made me laugh though.

Yoga kicked my fanny last night. I feel Kat and I should have swapped classes. Hello, bronchitis, I clearly need to take slightly more chillax classes while I get my lungs back.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Bees!

That`s kinda all I got. I am otherwise split between feeling somewhat out of sorts because it`s the end of our pseudobreak and it`s super windy. I did get some but not all stuff done I wanted to. I guess if I finished off the bedroom? So I have church tonight and I may or may not be presenting on the disaster relief org my church is helping. I feel somehow about it. But I`m not sure which how.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh hello incomplete thought. Feeling split between out of sorts and relaxed.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, Mac!

Matilda seems to be running a fever so we've tucked her whiny self into bed for a rare weekend nap.

I don't know what I'm going to feed my family for dinner tonight. I think I need to go hunt and gather.

Last night was JZ's last vegan night for Lent, and I did nail that meal with crispy tofu drizzled with plum sauce, served over cabbage sauteed with apple cider vinegar and sesame seeds.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

This is a bit creepy. Someone emailed me about a message I sent to a genealogy mailing list several years ago. Based on what she's said, she is a distant cousin of mine, but actually getting her the information she's asking for would take me a little while, and I don't really have the time to devote to that right now, so I emailed back to tell her that I think we are related, and that I'm kind of bogged down right now, but I'll get back to her next weekend. She responded by saying, "I know you're at [university] now, and I know that you're giving a talk on Tuesday, so I understand that you're busy." The fact that I'm giving a talk on Tuesday is on the calendar on the math department website, but it doesn't seem to show up in the first few pages of a google search for my name. It just seems weird that she'd mention it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh! I should mention, I did get my mother the (non)tupperware, and I think she was excited, although she really thought I was giving her a Storage Solution for the current assortment of crappy plastic containers, and it took a couple of tries to actually say, "I should just throw away all the ones we have now??" Yes! Or, put them somewhere to use for bringing places and etc. But ALL NEW. It's really not our way.

Today with the demented: I discover that my mother has taken notes in ball-point pen on the screen of her kindle.

I also discover that isopropyl alcohol works to remove pen ink from the screen of a kindle.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I went to the store (crazy place) to buy more tissue and ended up with $100 worth of groceries. Shopping when sick, kinda hungry but nothing sounds good so let's buy everything, is not a good idea.

K-Bug is back in California. It was a good visit but I miss her already.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

sonofabish, just dropped my netbook on my foot. Ouch! And already bruised and swollen.
