Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I feel like the closet in my bedroom is big, but that's just because it's about twice as wide as the basically door-width closet I grew up with. So I have that and a dresser and a small set of shelves with sweaters in it, and that's where my clothes are. And I'm still getting rid of stuff I don't wear!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I haven't been able to do a proper wardobe purge in almost 2 years due to being pregnant and not wearing anything but maternity clothes. In theory, I do the thing where once a year I turn all the hangers in my closet backwards, and only turn them around again once I've worn that piece of clothing so it's easy to see at a glance what I haven't worn in a year and get rid of that. In practice, I wear about 5% of the clothes I own and ignore the rest in hopes that they will go away on their own.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am the unpurger. I have clothes that I've owned for more than 20 years, and as long as they keep fitting, I probably will. But I've been lucky to be close enough to the same size since the end of university. The clothes I have from when I gained weight I can probably get rid of, but part of me is sure I'm going to gain weight again, eventually, and I liked them...which is pretty stupid.

I lost a bunch of clothes in Katrina, and although I could tell you only two or three precise pieces, I miss them terribly. Also, considering the amount of time it's been since I did *all* my laundry, well, I'm overstocked. But I still want it all.

I'm pretty sure I let the tea store rob me. On the other hand, the jasmine dragon pearls smell *really* nice. I am looking forward to this cuppa.

I sorted the spreadsheet for my sister and didn't mention to her it was trivial. Because I'm passivecool like that.

I still look at stuff I haven't worn in years, and think, but I might!

Gimme half an excuse to bust out the leather pants, and I will. It has easily been 15+ years since I last did. That half excuse is elusive.

Why am I looking at pictures of Batman/Superman wondering if they'd really leave on that much of their costumes? Characterisation? ita? Really?

Superman must rip a lot of clothes, huh?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

When I do purge, I keep things just because I love them, whether I wear them (or can wear them) or not. But I keep them in a box and not in my closet. And it is just one box, so that's not so bad, right?

Not so bad!

I'm trying to go to Goodwill more regularly, since I only bring a little at a time, due to carrying it.

I think with Batman it's slow and tender and...maybe there's a striptease?

Tasty tea.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just did that big clothes purge in January, when I got rid of 9 bags of clothes and cleared out more than half of my rather huge closet and reduced three drawers of lounge-around-the-apartment clothes to one.

I'll be restocking both the closet and the chest of drawers after I finish losing my weight--a friend has already stated emphatically that we are going to go out shopping at that point, because she feels my clothes shopping skills are severely lacking.
