Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm sorry, Kat.
Not-cancer ~ma for Typo Boy!!
Goose egg carving:
Holy crap, those are incredible.
Kat, it is time for your friend to become a legend.
No cancer for you, TB.
So this morning was to be short skirt and stockings and suspenders, except the skirts were too short, and then the stockings had a run, so mid-length skirt and boots and fishnet, except boots #1 need to be re-heeled and I can't find boots #2. What's with that? Where can they have gone? Except into the wilds of my bedroom...
So I'm daring mid-length skirt and fishnets with character shoes. But no one pays attention to how I dress if there's no corset, right? I mean, not if I got away with yesterday's skirt. Which, was totally okay because it was longer than my fingertips, right?
Very sorry for your loss, Kat.
Health-ma for Typo.
Gives April the stinkeye
Good news on the job, though, msbelle!
I will add my sentiments to Frank's/
So, I feel like I need to go through the Time 100 list and learn about all the people I've never heard of. I don't, right? [link]
Not Cancer~ma to Typo Boy. April really needs to step off and leave people alone from here on out.
Today's a half day for me, I leave at noon to go get a permanent crown swapped for the temporary one, and will use it as an excuse to play hooky for the rest of the afternoon. Anyone want to take bets as to whether our media consultant and my opposite number at a partner firm choose that time to flood my inbox with urgent requests?
My sister is all, like, buy me some stuff and bring it to me in South Africa. Cute. I can't make it to Long Beach right now. Sure I'll meet you in Jo'burg.
I am being leaned on big time to deliver in this new project that just appeared on my lap Tuesday, and no one on site can work out what I'm supposed to do. Developer keeps suggesting I call a bigwig meeting and reveal my cluelessness, but there must be some other option.
Thursday! End! I know you just started, but it's not too much to ask, is it? Also, can there be good TV at the end? Some Community or something?
Random question for a story I'm working on:
Anyone ever been friends with someone who's very wealthy? What was that like? Any anecdotes you'd like to share?
I'm envisioning a character who's in his '30s and was a trust-fund baby. He's worth maybe 50 million. He's been to college, maybe grad school. (Still gotta figure out what he was doing after college.) He considers himself lucky to have the money, and he tries to be a "regular guy" as much as he can, but I figure being a trust-fund kid has got to make you blind to some things, right?
In my story he's a major character, and is funding something the protagonist is working on, as well as being a friend.
