I fell down and got confused. Willow fixed me. She's gay.

I suppose in theory that's to prevent someone from stealing your TiVo, deactivating your service, and then reactivating it themselves (or the people they sold it to). But...sounds like a PITA.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I didn't have any problem either, brenda. We're obviously just better people.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So you're saying not "In conclusion, hookers and blow!" then?

Nah, because then I'm locked into the corporate-approved hookers & blow. Better to just have the money and buy my own on the open market.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oh, Gud. No more bad news for you, damn it.

Castle is the show almost everyone I know in fandom enjoys, yet is not actively fannish about. So I can see it being voted in brackets where you're trying to eliminate the competition for your primary fandom.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I went and cheered on some runners. Crossing Boylston Street was kind of a mistake, since I had to go really far out of the way around the finish line to get home (I guess I could have backtracked, but I hate backtracking). Onm the flip side, I needed to go to CVS, and that side is where it is. In short, if you like for people to cheer for you, put your name on the shirt you're wearing for the marathon.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I think you have to finish an official qualifying marathon in under 5 hours.

It's generally way harder than that. [link]

Not that I have statistics on this, but people guess 1% of runners could qualify for Boston. It's a biggish deal.

Thrive to spite them

One of my coworkers ran the Boston Marathon today. She said that registration filled up so fast this year they've changed the registration.

Next year there will be a staggered registration- the first people who get to register are those who were 20 minutes faster than their previous time (based on age group), then 15 mins, then 10 and then 5. She only got in this year because she kept hitting refresh on the website during registration.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My friend who qualified this year was so pissed she didn't register in time!

Also, I still don't know how the #2 guy got in the race, and the world record doesn't actually count, because of the tail winds. [link]
