Now tagless for your comfort.

Kathy, Vegas is AWESOME for people watching. There is also the pirates at the TI (Treasure Island), the inside of the Venetian (with the gondola singers and an indoor rainstorm) and the volcano at the Mirage (all of that is center to the south side of the strip).

The Freemont Street Experience is very fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There's a crazy indoor show at Caesar's, too, I think? Just getting from place to place kind of takes forever, so it's pretty easy to kill time without spending money, if you can resist gambling!

Because books.

The indoor rainstorm is so awesome. Cash showed me that.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Since I'll be at the Venetian that first afternoon, I'll definitely check out the indoor rainstorm--thanks! I've already seen the Caesar's, volcano, and TI shows years ago the other time I've been to Vegas, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the Bellagio fountains and Fremont Street (thanks for the name--I blanked out).

I think I can get my gambling fix out of the way that first day, then I can not worry about that the rest of the weekend. I'm only bringing a carryon with me, so I won't be buying too much stuff. If I can find it on sale, I do need more perfume (I'm almost out of DK Cashmere Mist).

Actually, I'm going to make sure I have enough room in my luggage for all of my DVDs that I'm going to be retrieving from my sister. Too bad if she hasn't watched them yet, because I want them back! She's got my Firefly/Serenity, first 3 seasons of BSG, Dr. Horrible, and a few others I haven't seen in eons. I've got my BIL's S1 Millenium that I've had for four years, but I am going to bring it with me.

DK Cashmere Mist

That is my absolute favorite! I've been having trouble wearing fragrances b/c of my migraines, but Cashmere Mist used to be my daily fall/winter fragrance. (Spring and summer I tended to wear a man's scent, Armani's Acqua di Gio Pour Homme, because it was very ocean-y and had no florals in it, which is what I wanted. It's very hard to find a woman's fragrance that's all woods or aromatics.)

I really love it, and before I bought it, I hadn't worn fragrance in many many years. I brought it out to Mom's, and she kept borrowing it from me. I hate a heavy scent, nor do I like something that's overly floral, and Cashmere Mist is just what I was looking for.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

All that said, I reiterate: you gotta do what you're comfortable with. If you feel more secure knowing the dudes who work on cars all day every day have gotten under the hood and fixed stuff up, that's what you should do. Because -- let me be clear -- the MAF sensor is honestly about the ONLY car maintenance/tinkering I've done.

I intend to ask about the MAF sensor. They seem to think the O2 sensor is completely borked, but it should be an easy for thing for them to check and I can go by their shop before I authorize the expensive fix.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm unsure if Game of Thorns is up my alley.

When my mom was here, we were looking for a movie to watch and my mom asked (paraphrased), "Have you seen The Walking Dead? I love zombie movies. I hate that Harry Potter kid. The lord of the rings movies are awful, too."

Kristen sat on the couch and went, "heh."

I guess I have become my mother.

So, I'm trying to cancel Tivo - we're going tv-free (hulu + iTunes + DVDs). Mostly because I hate Spongebob. Anyway, I cannot find any way to cancel service on the Tivo website. Anyone got any clues? Or do I have to (sigh) CALL SOMEONE!
