Incidentally, there's a Chrome extension called NYT Paywall Smasher, but I have no idea if it's working or I just haven't gone there directly often enough for the paywall to kick in.

Food Truck Report:
The Korean taco (bulgogi, which is spare rib) was good, but the General Bao steamed bun (with braised pork and some cabbagey thing that wasn't kim chee on top) was AWESOME.
Also, I got JZ a bun with crispy garlic tofu, and an onigilly (sort of a triangle of sushi to go) of tuna for her.
Matilda gets a cupcake.
I had expected a typical steamed bun like you'd get at a dim sum place, but it's basically a taco sized round (of that same steamed bun-ness) that's folded around the meaty-bits.
Which is better because the typical steamed bun tends to have to much bun for my taste.
I need to get the pork belly bun next time.
Damn, you're making me want to go to the korean bbq truck.
Not the one in SF, which would be lovely, but it's already late for dinner.
Makes me want to go to Niwana, a nearby japanese/korean place. I love their bento box lunches. Just the right combination over everything.
Pork belly is my new One True Love.
I am pretty well decided on cancelling our paper version of the LAT in favor of paying for the NYT. I feel like I should support them, esp given how much my husband loves reading it.
There's a restaurant in Brooklyn (okay, probably more than one) that serves a pork belly salad. It's about as salad-like as you'd expect considering the main ingredient is bacon. And utterly wonderful.
I went ahead and paid for the nytimes. What the heck. I go there to read articles every day might as well pay for it!
I hate all of you who live in places that have food trucks. Or restaurants with bao.
Damn, you're making me want to go to the korean bbq truck.
...do we have one of those?
So much for OT-ing. Instead I added shopping links to my Springpad, and then continued my hunt for the ultimate retro swimsuit. I'm currently contemplating this top [link] with this bottom [link] in red. Not that I need a suit now, or even have the cash to spend. @@
