And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just had two back to back conference calls. That was pretty onerous.

Punishingly Intricate

My onerous tasks were emailing teammates who have not been fundraising like they should have been. And sending another email to the slacker developer who owes me doc! He's making me crazy!! My other onerous task may be to hunt him down and make him cry. grrr

If I cannot find my tax forms from the year I bought my co-op, is there any other way I could find out if I filed for my first-time homebuyer credit?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You can order a "tax return transcript" from the IRS, but you wouldn't get it immediately. If you filed with H&R Block or TurboTax, they keep copies of your returns.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Mmm, coffee. Okay, onerous tasks, I name thee: Sort recyclables. Corporate financials. Bedroom cleanup. And weeding as a bonus, because I kinda like weeding.

omg, I totally think I qualify for the first-time homeowner credit. It didn't exist at a fed level in 2002 if I am reading things right AND since I lived in my place for 5 consecutive years and bought the new place within the window in 2010, I qualify. people who know more about tax stuff, please chime in.

Taxes and finding all the paperwork I need for my taxes will be my onerous task, btw. So many little forms that I kept in an easily scattered pile rather than filing as they came in.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Onerous task complete. Picking up a prescription. Ordinarily not onerous, especially on such a nice day, but my ankle has been hurting like hell this week, and the pharmacy I use is located such that walking is the only option.

Oh well, back in the office and it was nice to get outside today.

Come to think of it, coming back to work on a day like today is pretty damn onerous as well.

Seriously, that was an option? ::whimpers::

Well, given the unsettled situation with my job, there was no way I was going to put my house on the market within the window. Bah.

In other news, my onerous task for the day is to mail my property taxes (which I forgot to do until after the deadline and now I am paying a $200 late fee, argh). And to clean my desk off, which is piled high with papers and reports. I would much rather go for a long walk and listen to Terry Pratchett audiobooks.
