"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I'm slightly confused. Are you meaning to link me to this?

[link]

Because if so, yes. Times a million.

No, I meant Parkinson's law of triviality.

Ah. That one also, times a million.

But I am clearly right and he is clearly wrong.

flea, hope it all turns out ok.

I got cash at the atm and freaked out over the balance, came home and checked and...state refund ALREADY. Fast. And somehow I think I have exactly $1 than the bank does, but I can't find it and I've balanced the last 2 months twice. So I'm just going to let them be right.

Really pushed myself at the pool and am feeling it now.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

ita, how are you doing?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I don't think the clocks here work right.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I took the day off from my swim, second in a row. I haven't swum since Monday night, but I had stomach issues for most of the day, so even though I was feeling better by the time I left work, I was just too tired.

Also, I have a research paper due on Sunday morning, but haven't even started the research, let alone writing it. I had to purchase and download MS Office onto my computer, since the freebie version that was on the laptop when I bought it ran out last month. Since my school has student discounts set up with Microsoft, I was able to get it for $80, which isn't too bad. Now, I can get my research all done tonight, and then write it up tomorrow night.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I handed out free tomato samples at the supermarket today, which had long lonely/boring stretches (12-3 on a Friday afternoon?), but was otherwise fairly pleasant work.

The funniest thing about doing it was that I myself don't like raw tomatoes at all, but there I was pushing them with all enthusiasm. They are hothouse-grown in Maine, so they count as local, and since they're only driven down in less than a day, they're not wooden-textured or -flavored. They smelled like summer, too.

Oh, and the chili I put in the crock pot this morning came out really tasty! Although it's a lot soupier than I prefer; next time, I'll be sure to put in more ground turkey and less liquid (I probably should have drained the cans of kidney beans before adding them).

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

They smelled like summer, too.

Tomatoes that smell like actual tomatoes are heavenly. Mmmm....
