St. Francis was totally awesomecakes. As far as people who were possibly both thoroughly mad and thoroughly saintly go, I love him more than practically everyone except Julian of Norwich and William Blake.
Matilda, tonight, at the conclusion of The Upside Down Show:
I am so bored. I am really really really really bored, Mommy!
Me: I'm sorry. But it's time to turn off the TV and do toothbrushing and stories anyway.
Matilda: But I don't
like
to be bored. It's too distasteful.
Me: ...
But I don't like to be bored. It's too distasteful.
Anyone else think Matilda will grow up to be Dorothy Parker?
ION, trying to calm down from the stress of driving nine-ish hours today. So I'm not exactly sober right now (damn, there goes my chance to work at NASA).
Also, thanks everyone for the kind words!
HA.... that's hysterical.
I do need to go to bed, but the end is nigh. Right? RIGHT?
I just got sucked into watching Darren Rhodes perform every asana in the Anusara syllabi. He's so kickass.
Okay not every one. But many.
Come ON people. Post more!
Matilda and I also danced to The Cramps song "Ultra-Twist" in the kitchen tonight. (Which is not something Dorothy Parker got to do.)
Not a song she can really share with her friends as the chorus is something like, "Stick it in/ stick it in/ stick it in / Oooooh Wow Wow Wow..."
She was impressed with my dance moves though.
Since we're killing the thread, does anyone have a loyalty to a particular hotel brand or chain? I'm staying at my favorite, Residence Inn, but they stuck me next to the stairs again. Maybe I need to find a different Marriott next time.
