I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

I now hate our movers, and they aren't even here yet. An hour an 15 minutes late, so far, and two guys arrived on foot because they got the truck stuck in a tight turn. Anyone who'd done their homework, as anyone driving an 18 wheeler in a residential neighborhood should have, would not have gone that way, as there is an obvious, easy way.

Possibly I will be taking the children out to a park and Michael will be dealing with the movers, since I suffer fools so poorly.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In life's little ironies (at least my life's):

Wednesday I came home to find a note that my building's laundry room was switching from coin operated to card operated the next day. Wednesday at lunch I'd gone out and gotten rolls and rolls of quarters.

Saturday I did laundry and, with 10 new washers and 10 new dryers, it went well. Until I realized that, of the 10 dryers, 4 were non-operational, as in they weren't plugged in.

Woot on your date, tommy!!! I'm so happy for you.

And I do believe I'll have to check into Geek2Geek when I finally get the nerve up to start looking into dating. It's been so long since my last one (um, 25 years) that just the idea freaks me out some.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I don't even watch Adventure Time, dude!

Wha?! Correct yourself now, or kick yourself later. You are denying yourself pure entertainment gold.

Also, P-Cow, I've put Karen on the clock to find you a cute nerd-girl. Since she's a manager of tech writers she meets a lot and, frankly, she's really good at this sort of thing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Movers, get your shit together, ASAP!

Dogs are home from the kennel and are pleased to be back on the couch. Owen and Olivia are back in school and I need to start sorting through the laundry and Lego that was acquired over the weekend.

Art Crawl!!!

le nubian - that is priceless.

Toddson - Grr Argh. As if having to do laundry isn't bad enough.

Flea's movers: what Cashmere said!

And aha! My plan to get the students to post their hours is working. I primed the pump by posting the hours of students who emailed to me - now some who haven't emailed them have posted them on the bulletin board. Excellent.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Le Nubian, that is awesome.

I'm gearing up for a work sprint, as soon as I take my allergy meds. Sniff.
