We're back from Matilda's birthday party in the park. Low key: cakes, pizza, balloons and entertainment by Emmett. Ten kids, twelve parents, carousel rides. Only one instance of tears (twisted ankle from jumping off playground equipment).

Matilda was well behaved and pretty gracious as a five year old host. Hugging everybody goodbye and being patient. Her friend Joshua came; he was her hug buddy in preschool but goes to a new kindergarten now. He drew her a card with them holding hands with little hearts all over it.

Teacher Helen - also from the preschool, but also now gone - showed up and was treated like a rock star by the assembled kinderklatsch.

Yep, I just posted there using my backup email. I don't know if it's going to do much though, especially on the weekend.

Wow--I just got the account restored.

Whew.

I know I should still be irritated it happened at all, but I'm mostly just relieved, and a little impressed.

Any lessons for the rest of us? Why disabled? How did you get restored?
