Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Can I suggest that we create a "morbid curiosity" (or something like that) group on FB, and take the Gus stuff over there?

So those of us that don't FB, but do Buffista don't get to see? He blanket friended Buffistas. If he didn't want to be talked about on, say, buffistas.org, he should have thought through his plan better.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I assumed he was drunk last night and sent out all the friend requests.

Yeah, I think drunk is a pretty good guess.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think his plan may have been was to be talked about (as sj just said).

"It's better to be talked about than not be talked about."

Because books.

The other thing is, all he does is lurk, everywhere. There's nothing on his FB page, and there's nothing on his Google+ page, or his LinkedIn, aside from references to The Site That Shall Not Be Named.

My feeling is he's never going to interact, and if he is lurking, his takeaway from me can be, get help, man. And if not, enjoy your whacko life as another stupid interwebs curiosity.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Infamy's not as good as fame but it's heaps better than obscurity.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

He needs a hobby. I mean, other than whatever this little routine he's going through on the internet.

How does having (presumably) secret FB group obfuscate that plan?

Seriously, I don't care if he is wanking to every google of his name, or whatever. If he does something that makes me want to chat about it, he is the last thing that's going to stop me doing it. Either way.

I agree, and would rather have the conversation here. One, it's a Buffista issue, and two, this is the forum built for conversations.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

How does having (presumably) secret FB group obfuscate that plan?

It would keep him from being able to read what you're writing and get off on the fact that he can still get a reaction from people. Once again, not telling anyone what to do.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love
