I had a similar neighbor howdy this evening while walking the little guy.
I shared my theory about how this neighborhood has a high tolerance for, and actually a great expectation of, eccentricity. The young, totally non-eccentric, gentleman to whom I spoke could not have agreed more. Heh. We are all characters with a capital C.
I love that about this place.
Speaking of such, there is a big neighborhood event tomorrow, at which there will be trapeze artists...and a petting zoo...and the Georgetown bell choir.
I'll be doing balloon decorating for the first time in years. Big fun!
I like our neighborhoods.
Taylor (my mentee) is planning on coming over tomorrow night. Will probably take her out to dinner. Still find it sorta amazing that I'm still so important to a teen that she'd rather spend a Saturday evening with me than be out and about.
Hec, that sucks. I'm sorry.
FPC: I am irrationally angry and upset. I'm supposed to be down in Virginia Beach for the final air show of the season. I am at home sitting on my couch instead. Traffic sucked so badly it took me almost 2 hours to get home. It takes 4 hours to get down to VA Beach from here. DH has to be up at 5:30 for media and soldier rides. This was supposed to be a weekend to release a lot of stress and hang out with friends. Instead, my sister is on her way back home, and I'm alternating between weepy and super pissed.
Oh sweetie, that is very frustrating! What kind of plans do you want to make now?
Ooh, that sounds like an excellent plan.
I'm pretty pleased with it!
Timelies all!
Yay for good news, Maria!
Sorry about your bad week, Hec.

I meant auto electrician. An auto guy who specializes in electrical systems, or a general mechanic who has the right electronic equipment (which would be cheaper than an electrical specialist). A home electrician could not do this. There is auto equipment that not only measures if a battery takes a charge but how much it takes and holds. All auto electrical specialists do and other mechanics can tell you on the phone if they can do that. Tell them specifically that that it is hybrid battery that still takes a charge but that you strongly suspect does not take a full charge. Explain that if so, you need documentation from them including an instrument reading that proves it. I suspect that while any good mechanic can diagnose the not taking a full charge not every mechanic will have the instruments where they can actually document a reading.
