I know you've been drawing Cumberbatch recently, but I've had this open forever and can't quite put it away.

Mmm, Bumbly Cumbersnatch.
Yeah, that's in my printed photo reference file.
His angles, they please me.

That looks like the one that's in the National Portrait Gallery. Or, wait, no it doesn't. There's a black-and-white photo of him in the NPG.
P-C, the credit card thing is true. Depending on how good your credit is, and how many you apply for how quickly, you might end up turned down for one/some. That said, it only hits it somewhat, and for so long, so the importance of it depends on what you're planning to use your credit score FOR--if you aren't buying a house, or a car, or planning to apply for a credit card you really NEED, then it's not that huge a deal. OTOH, "missing out" on the points is....not the end of the world by any means. There have been some amazing (100K) miles offers lately, but there's really no reason to churn cards like some bloggers I've read do (apply for like, six at a time, get turned down by one, etc)
In terms of the French, I guess since we are pretty much throwing out our bill of rights they decided it was time they got over the whole "I disagree with everything you are saying but will defend to the death your right to say it" thing.
French civil libertarians don't like the veil ban though, mostly thinking it a lousy way to protect women and girls, and mainly an excuse for Muslim bashing.
I see my hemotologist this afternoon and may end up with another iron treatment. I do know my labs came back with my Ferratin in the "normal" range. It is 19 and the range is 10 - 232. That seems like a crazy big range and being 9 points away from the low end doesn't seem like a good thing. We will see what he says.

This. If they want to protect women who choose not to wear the veil, then there are ways to do that that involve actually directly empowering those women, rather than setting it up where one group of women gets to sacrifice their rights for another, and all of them get singled out as other.

Thanks for the explanation, meara!
P-C, had you seen this? [link]
Ha, I had not. I actually have no vested interest in Cumbly yet, as I haven't seen Sherlock, but soon!
