Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You got a problem with that?

I'm just saying...

My Daily Show FB feed just linked to a blurb about the show's two Emmy awards last night, and it had a video link to the Palin/Trump pizza bit. That will never stop making me laugh and laugh.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I read all the insightful comments on the Fleming quote, and it still just fills me with rage. He CAN afford a tax hike if his biz makes 6.3M and he has 400K left after he feeds and educates his family.

I don't care. Even if he started out with a spiral notebook and ate Ramen for 12 years, good for him! Yay. But he can afford a tax increase.

Also, on a happier note, Kathy, rock on this your new car! I want to get Dan a auto start for his car SO BAD this year for Xmas, since my poor skinny, cold love leaves for work at 6 am on the cold, icy Kansas winter mornings. I think you will love it!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

and forgive me, but what is the tax increase? Like $6,000? or is it $60,000. Either way, he can fucking afford it.

Write off some equipment and be done with it.

But he can afford a tax increase.

I love that Obama's naming his new tax-increase proposal after Warren Buffet, since he's the one who said that the really rich can afford a tax increase.

For only $375, I figured it'd be worth it. My car sits outside all day long, both at home and at work, so it'll be nice to be able to have it all heated up before I even leave my 3rd-floor apartment. My friend Tami loves hers, which she had installed at Best Buy.

I don't disagree. I also am not surprised he'd say otherwise. It just wasn't the super cluelessly insensitive statement that I first thought it was. Still not exactly in touch with the pulse of the nation and what Jesse said about just shuttign it down.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Oh yeah, I am certainly not arguing that he can't afford a tax increase!

ION, it is grey and rainy here and I want a nap so badly. I'm tempted to ask if I can go work from home for the rest of the day, but I'm afraid I'd just fall asleep and not actually get anything done.

It's grey and rainy here, too, and I am fighting a cold and possibly losing to it. Since Labor Day, I've been at social events with about 10 different people who've had colds, and I was so impressed with my usually crappy immune system for not giving in. But I think Thursday's baseball game with the sniffling sneezing friend might have finally done me in.

I worked through lunch so I can go home at 4:00 and crawl under the covers with some comic books.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

It's been chilly and gray here and it's started raining.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I failed to pick up more Claritin this weekend. This is a problem.

Bah.

I invoke the FPC: My Nemesis finally replied to my email (I sent her one last Tuesday and then re-sent it this morning), claiming she only got the memo about the change in the project on Friday, which is bullshit. The original change was September 2, and the email I forwarded to her & our boss included a reference to a phone call on that date, with her name on it. She's lying by omission.

I'm so tempted to reply with: "And yet you knew about this on September 2 and didn't feel it was necessary to inform anyone?" Except she would either not reply, or reply with: "Oh, I was busy, sorry." And nothing would change.
