I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Whitney looks super annoying to me, but I'm probably going to watch The New Girl. I like Zoey Deschanel.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Yeah Kyle Chandler! And Melissa McCarthy who designed her dress, I believe.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I am in love with stripper JKF and Stalin.

And alla y'all serial comma haters can bite my serial comma.

that is why it is addressed in "Style Guides"

Scare quotes? What is it when it's not a "style guide"? A phone book, perhaps? Big book of bathroom jokes?

(Note to self: add bathroom jokes to work style guide. I mean, work "style guide.")

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I won't have much choice about it, because I watch Glee and Raising Hope.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Scare quotes?

I guess I could have used italics but they seem so snarky sometimes.

eta: Here's what's wrong with the Oxford comma. It's grammatical kludge. It is the unnecessary feature that keeps intruding on you in Word that you need to go spelunking through nineteen drop-downs to STOP. It is inelegant. It is frequently not necessary. It is as stodgy and dodering and slow as an Oxford Don.

It is a matter of style, not usage. When I want to clarify the list I am writing I will use an extra comma as it is needed. Otherwise, it slows the rhythm of the sentence. It creates an unnecessary visual impediment.

Ultimately it is a matter of the writer's choice, not the editor's. It is not required in all instances.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I cannot believe "The Kennedys" won an award since it barely aired at all!

I will gladly bite it hard enough to leave teeth marks which cause it to necrose and fall off.
