"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I tried to buy the Monistat anti-chafing gel today! I swear. But I couldn't find it! I was all, no, not hemorrhoids, no, not jock itch. I think I was looking in the wrong section, because at the next store I found the Monistat stuff but not the gel.

What do people use for makeup remover? Did I ask this already? And what about cleaning brushes? I need brushes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

To clean brushes, I use bar soap and my hands. Possibly non-ideal.

Because books.

I'm bad. I found $1 brushes at Target I really like, so if they get ratty I get new ones.

Is the primer (or chafing gel) just for face, or under foundation? Can you use it on eyelids, too, or do you need the special eye one? Eye makeup is what really fades on me as the day goes by.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

L'Oreal makes an OK foundation primer. Doesn't make you "glow" but it does smooth out your skin a bit.

For glow, I was once talked into buying the Laura Mercier "illuminating" tinted moisturizer. sigh ... I looked like I hadn't washed my face in too long - oily shine. Not quite the effect I'd hoped for.

I'd also tried a L'Oreal souffle makeup which DID give me a fairly nice matte effect. I had coupons, so I tried the L'Oreal stuff. They're OK, but not my one true product.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cash, I am so sorry. I hope you are hitting things and able to vent some of the frustration. And I really hope your brother is able to get some help soon without hurting himself or anyone else.

It's not for your vajayjay, so it's not (usually) with the other Monistat stuff. Frankly, I ask. Target has it but I am always boggled where I finally find it.

What do people use for makeup remover?

What makeup are you looking to remove? My answer changes depending on what you need.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Soap. I use actual makeup remover to take off the adhesive from the hospital bandaging.

Speaking of which I may be making an early trip to the ER because of .... nausea. Sure, my head hurts badly enough for me to want to cry, but I don't know if I could hold out with the nausea until Sunday morning.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, ita, that sucks.

I use Ponds cold cream which works for everything except the 24-7 eyeliner, which is irritating because it smudges for me anyway, and then stays put smudged.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It was super hard to find when I got it. I can't remember where I actually ended up finding it. (I mean, it was at Target, but what aisle or section I couldn't say.)

Because books.

Aw, ita. I wonder why the nausea's been so bad lately?

I use cold cream, or Clinique gentle remover if I get a sample from one of my mom's bonuses.

Uhg, Allyson. End of the fiscal years are kinda gonna be nailbiters for the next few years in the space sciences. I am amazed we are still hiring, but we've had a lot of really senior people retire the past couple years.

Speaking of which, spent the last 2 hours of work in a pitch meeting to the Mission Office. I think we impressed the shit out of them and are going to get more FTEs allotted to get this work done. Long term, it is a very good thing.

Cash, I hope you smash a lot of things.

Had another record night at the pool. 2 miles at a faster pace than even last night. By the last half mile, my pace was a hair below 54.5s/lap. My worst lap was 58s. Of course, this probably means the rest of the weekend, I'll struggle to keep it at even that, but..sometimes, I just have fast spells. And sometimes slow. I like the fast ones. They feel easier.

I think MK is cold. He's being very insistent about cuddling.
