Kaylee: Is that him? Mal: That's the buffet table. Kaylee: Well how can we be sure, unless we question it?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Cash, I have no words, but my thoughts are with you and your family. Do they have any support system nearby that you could call on to check on them?

Jesse, my favorite variant of that is having a PM call me fussing about having to fill in something I sent when it would take less time to just fill in the information. Grrrr, quit fussing and trying to throw your muscle around. I'm trying to make your job easier, dude.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Cash, I'm so damned sorry you have to go through this. I wish there was something I could do to help.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just had a PM set up a meeting with me to introduce me to the BA on the project.

Uh, I am the BA on the project. I checked with my boss. I'm still the BA on the project. Oh, the one that's going to write the requirements document. This requirements document? Yeah, he'll write that one. But...I already wrote it.

Fuck that noise. I actually put my head down on my desk during a conference call and I'm home now and my head is killing me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah. This is why I'm terrible at delegating pieces of things.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm still waiting for My Nemesis to answer the email I sent her Tuesday about the project with the mysteriously-changing boundaries.

At what point can I bring in the heavy weapons? Oh, wait, I don't have any. ::sigh::

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh Cash, that's awful and infuriating. How hard for your parents. But I would say that any tenant requiring me to barricade myself in my bedroom has violated his lease agreement and I no longer "have" to house him because he pays rent. Sheesh. And it sounds like something my mom would do, stop calling me because I'm upset. No, you want to talk to her because you're upset!

Also, all the Buffistas' coworkers need to behave themselves.

Also also, totally re: the pumpkin. Why is that? I always end up with cans of pumpkin in my pantry because I overbuy worrying about the percentages. And then I always end up just making more pie anyway.

In other news; I grocered, overspent, took stuff back, bought some of it anyway, and now it's thundering so I can't go for my walk. But I guess I'm glad it didn't storm while I was doing errands? Oh, and I accidentally brought the SO a bowl of salsa for his lunch. (It was supposed to be chili.) It's not my day to brane, apparently.

Because books.

Ugh -- S. went to the store, and since Ginger had reminded me, I told him to look for pumpkin, since there's supposed to be another shortage. And none! I wanted to start stocking up!

And he knows where to look, too -- he does 99% of the shopping.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Thanks, again. You guys hit the nail on the head. My folks think this is their burden to bear and are going to martyr themselves, given the chance. My sisters live nearby and can keep an eye on the situation. My folks will call the police if he gets violent again but I wish they could be more proactive instead of living in crisis management mode.

In short--mental illness sucks ass.

Because books.

It really does, Cash. Go wild at derby tonight.

Okay, I can't afford this dress but I sort of love it. Except ... it would look shapeless in a bad way on anyone who's not a stick, right?
