Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Each of the Doctor's regenerations could be in a different house, perhaps.

Because books.

Now I need to click on the homicidal horses link.

Art Crawl!!!

jz, I have always wondered what Shackleton's ponies ate. . .

I'm getting this book - want to read it when I'm done?

You don't NEED to, you know.

Perhaps. The current Doctor is a lot more Hufflepuff than his immediate predecessors, anyway. I've only seen Doctors 9 through 11, so I don't have the whole set to compare with, but you're probably right. Even though they are always the same person, the personalities do differ.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Suddenly, BOOM, it's fall. It's crisp and actually chilly out there, and it smells like someone lit a fire. Supposed to go into the 40s tonight, which is so weird.

Sounds like how Boston is right now. So nice. My favorite kind of weather, at least for an extended period.

I'll add a "YAY!" for Perkins as well.

I could see Mal as Slytherin, maybe? But not Zoe. I'm always really bad at placing people in Hogwarts Houses. Kaylee would be Hufflepuff, yeah? And Simon Ravenclaw. That's for sure.

I think both Tams would be Ravenclaw. Jayne would want to be in Slytherin, but he'd turn out to be a squib. I suspect Book would have been in Slytherin at some point before he became a Shepherd.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I am on chapter 12 of the World's Longest Harry Potter Fanfiction, which is nice. I never read fanfic, really, but someone linked me this one and it's absolutely fabulous. I don't think I'll get to the end today and that makes me sad.

Well, you could bookmark it for later, I guess. And what story is it? There are, after all, LOTS of ridiculously long HP stories out there.

As for the Doctors, I think both 5 and 10 would be Griffyndor. Maybe 9 as well.

Boston is superbly lovely this morning! You are correct.

I think your house placements are spot-on. Jayne absolutely would have been a squib.

I was unnaturally nervous when I got to the Sorting Ceremony on Pottermore. I'd taken online sorting quizzes before, but I was like.. JK Rowling is involved. This is OFFICIAL.

Oooh, yes!

I think I'm not as shocked by the horse story as I should. If the animal was diseased (something like an equine mad cow, maybe?), couldn't it get that aggressive?
