Woo hoo, Perkins!

I wish I could put a feedbag around MK's neck. The thing is, I am trying to keep his weight up. But him being an old man cat, he nibbles a bit, then wanders upstairs or wherever, away from food. But if I put food down for him, he chows down until something distracts him and he wanders off. And he's not so reliable about wandering back to where the food was (and Loki the fatass might've eaten already) because he's OLD and SLOW and forgetful. I get his weight up on weekends when I'm home to grab food and put it in front of him whenever I see him. He loses during the work week.

Because books.

Suddenly, BOOM, it's fall. It's crisp and actually chilly out there, and it smells like someone lit a fire. Supposed to go into the 40s tonight, which is so weird.

And now I'm craving gingerbread. Or a pumpkin latte.

Oh, how I am longing for that. We've had grey and cool here, but it doesn't quite feel like fall yet.

Hey, who here has had experience with giving cats Xanax? The vet says that if Trinian flips out again like she did last night, we will need to start doing that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Dana! No worries at all about the DVDs. Whenever you get them sent is fine.

I went out and ated all the sushi, and now I am home and about to drink a glass of wine and eat some chocolate.

Very much Yay Perkins!

Do you know what the phrases "Deaf President Now" or "Deaf Protest of 1988" refer to, without looking it up?

Yes. But I also think the story of I. King Jordan is sort of amazing. (And I also knew that the football huddle originated with Gaullaudet's football team).

Going to bed. Tomorrow, I'm baking chile cheese beer bread.

I just offered my next door neighbor's fiance the use of my garage this fall. She's having literally a ton of belongings delivered tomorrow. I'll drop them a key in the morning.

Cause honestly? Though I'd love to start using my garage, other things are more pressing. So they can have it.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I want Perkins' evening. But I have my friend Suzi, who lurks her VERY occasionally over to my house for wine, talk and snacks tomorrow afternoon. She lives in Portland, and my friend K, Suzi and I met in 1993 in our semester abroad in London.

Kelly and I have been BFF's for god, 18 years, but though I keep in touch with Suzi via SMN's, I haven't seen her in 13 years!

Always Anti-fascist!

My cousin Penny(Whom I don't really know) was at the Gallaudet protests. I also read "No Pity" which has a long chapter on it. But that's kinda like ita answering a reggae question, huh?

Ok, Erin's talk of Suzi and Kelly make me feel like I'm in the wrong place. I should be with her sipping wine.

YAYAYAYAYAY Perkins!

I had a panic attack earlier when I got the mail. There was a thick envelope from the IRS. They have decided that I owe an additional $8,400 on my 2009 taxes. OMG. I think I have figured out what they are looking at and I have documentation supporting the numbers I used, so I'm hoping I can contest the bill without it being too much of an issue. But still...$8,400!!!

On the other hand, it made the $196 emergency room bill for CJ look minor in comparison.
