Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Gallaudet's in town and I love watching the kids "talking" - watching their hands moving so quickly and I find it fascinating.

hip deep in pie

Now that people have explained what the phrases refer to, I remember reading an article about it in either Spin or Rolling Stone around that time, but it wouldn't have tweaked in my memory at all with just those phrases.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Plei, does it need to be black?

Yep.

Ooo! Also, a curly blonde lace front wig. Need to find one of those. About shoulder length, no bangs. Strong curl pattern.

I like the things in the Pyramid catalogue but I once tried buying a skirt from them ... discovering that their definition of "XL" is a size 12.

The Pyramid dress would have been fine, but for the velvet bodice.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Well, fuck. My little brother just got laid off. He is the only income-earner, and supports his wife, daughter, and 2 in-laws (her parents stay with them for 6 mos/year from China).

I hate this fucking economy.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Oh shit, Consuela, that's awful.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

That really sucks, Consuela. I hope he finds something soon.

Completely random: Amish mugshots.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I don't remember anything about Gallaudet. I do remember that year as when the last of the shantytown (anti-apartheid protest) was removed from the quad at Mizzou.
