Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I haven't heard either of those phrases, Hil.

It's 57 degrees in Nashville! Joy!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Amy, does this work?

Because books.

Kate P.! Your name was on my newsletter the other day! That made me stupid happy. I was all, "Hey, I know her!"

JenP - Sep 15, 2011 8:42:20 am PDT #26385 of 30001

Both phrases refer to the same event.

Ha! Well, at least you know I was being truthful. Or perhaps not reading carefully.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I haven't heard of that, Hil.

Hey, cool! What's the newsletter? What was the context? (If you'd rather not say here, that's OK.)

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I've got a totally random "Ask an average hearing person" question, to try to settle a point in my Deaf Culture class: Do you know what the phrases "Deaf President Now" or "Deaf Protest of 1988" refer to, without looking it up?

I've never heard of either thing. I thought it was a misspelling of Def (as in Def Jam), for a minute, given the year.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Ha, I wondered if that's the one you meant!
