I am alone at work today and SOOOOO uninspired to work. I was up til 1am finishing reading The Help.
This was me yesterday, except for The Help substitute Sarah's Key.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

It's hard to get past a certain point on the hidden object games without either neighbors or throwing some money at it (or re-building everything every time you level up to get the maximum points for the space available)
Full disclosure: I played Gardens of Time once and have never been back, so I'm not really paying attention to the things you guys send me or ask me to give you.
My mom loved Sarah's Key, too, megan. Another one she keeps bugging me to read.
Pot roast sounds better than Taco Salad to me right now, Sophia, but that might be because I haven't had breakfast yet.
I had the Taco Salad, but mostly because I needed to leave my hallway for lunch. They are painting, and it is seriously exacerbating my cold. I was getting better yesterday, and today I have taken a turn for the worse. It is just a cold so far, but I need to be well for fittings this weekend.
I finally remembered my flickr account login info, so a brief revisit to the siblings-and-parents-resemblance thread.
Growing up, everyone always thought my sister and I were twins. However, my sister looks more like Mom and I look more like Dad. Can anyone explain that to me?

Amy, I will try to remember that and not send you things.
Oh, Debet, you can! I just ... may ignore them until I start playing again. I don't mind, I just feel bad I'm not helping you all out or whatever.

me too, although I just did.
See above, msbelle!
The temperature dropped about fifteen degrees since yesterday. I need a sweatshirt. I guess fall was listening to me.
And Cash, I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this. But I'm glad your parents have someone who can deal with it. Living with someone who's willing to attack you is scary.
God, yes. I hope this situation can get sorted out quickly.
amyth, that would have been great news! if you had spoken of it, which you didn't.
Last-appointment high-five, Perkins!
Liese, yikes, glad your SO is all right!
My name is right there in my signature in my work email, and yet, people come back misspelling it or calling me nicknames. It annoys me deeply when people-not-friends decide to call me by a nickname. I'm not Beth, or Lisa. I'm only Liz to my friends. If we've slept together more than twice and I still like you, you may call me Lizzie.
I spent the better part of a year of Junior High trying to transition to my middle name. It didn't take.
I did that when I went to my first Sci-Fi convention, at age 16, where I met my BFF Gretchen. So everyone in the SF community in Nashville called me Elizabeth, which made it quite easy to transition to that name completely when I went to college in Nashville.
Working from home, every day is Take Your Cat to Work Day! It's also Shut Up and Let Me Work, Cat, You've Already Been Fed Day.
