I mean, this is me with my family and my paternal grandmother and aunt in 1991 or so: [link] and SIL and brother when Dominic was born [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It is pronounced like there is a double s in the middle...Sussan. Or even more phonetically, Sussanne.

Is that different from Suzanne?

A friend tried to assure me I both spelt and pronounced my middle name wrong. She wasn't really good at understanding when she was just 100% on the wrong path. My middle name isn't Susan. So I'm under no responsibility to either spell or pronounce it that way. She did that shit a lot.

And tried to sleep with your boyfriend, but I don't think that was related.

OH! And one of the pictures of me where I can barely see that it is me: [link] Me and baby D. Not sure if it is the angle or what.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I spent the better part of a year of Junior High trying to transition to my middle name. It didn't take.

hip deep in pie

I used to throw kicking, screaming tantrums if someone called me Susie, or Susie Q. Now, I just wish I could.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I spent the better part of a year of Junior High trying to transition to my middle name. It didn't take.

When I was 12 I campaigned hard to get the family to call me Stevie. Didn't work.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I intended to spend a week being called by my middle name and my father looked so wounded I only really lasted ten minutes.

However, at capoeira I will go by an entirely different name. Just about the only context.

I still want to change my last name to de la O, though.

My circle of friends in college included Big Dan, Little Dan, Drunk Dan, Boston Dan, and Squirrelly Dan.

We had a similar bunch with Phils. Orch Phil, Plant Phil, Gay Phil, Sexy Phil...I think there might've been another one...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Those are the BEST! I need to save that for tomorrow.
