Big yays all round!
I just got a new purse, which is bigger than my usual. [link] I wanted one which was big enough to hold my iPad if I need it to, goes with everything, has outside pockets for phone and keycard and, most importantly, has a big waterproof inside for hiding movie snacks and drinks in. Oh, and is less than $50. This fits the bill, but it is more a tote than a bag...so it is still on probation.
This is the first time I've had to do anything with Progressive other than send them premiums, and I'm sticking with them after this really fantastic experience dealing with this really crappy accident.
Awesome, that's our insurance company!
Liese, that's pretty sucktastic. I'm sorry.
That's great news, Kathy!
That is much less great news, Liese. At least your SO is OK. But WTF. (I just had to use more initials. BRB.)
I have a deep purple pleather Target purse I got last year. It's got good compartments, and carries a book/Nook, my receipts folders, makeup ncessities (blotting paper, 1000 lippies, folding brush, travel spray, extra hair-control devices), little notebook, wallet, coin purse.
It has litte pockets for pens, a cell and my touch, and a zippered inner pocket so i can find my cigarettes and lighters (back up lighter, yo -- I am an inadvertant lighter thief, as are so many of my friends.)
Dawn, since it's an ES position, I would go with a blazer or jacket over a shirt, since it's a more formal, longer interview, rather than the pretty, but more casual cardi set.
He's home and he's okay, but he's pretty upset, mostly with himself. We cancelled classes for this afternoon. The car looks pretty rough, but they said at the shop that the five grand would be without even opening it up; more damage might be evident when they did so, and they said that even spending all that it wouldn't end up looking right because the car is old enough that some of the trim just isn't available. Boo.
SO says that AWD wouldn't have helped him, he just got into the guardrail at the bottom of one of our curvy roads through the wash. He didn't call earlier because he thought it was okay, but at the shop it was clear how bad it was.
But honestly, the times I've gotten loose in that car have all been on the pavement, just hydroplaning. So he thinks it's all his fault, but I think probably he just lost traction and couldn't regain it.
He's been having nightmares a bunch, so he was also tired driving and doesn't think his reflexes were right. But I'm just glad he's okay. The damage is cosmetic, so I'm grateful for that.
Oh, boo, Liese. Glad he is OK, but that's not fun.
Oh, Liese, accidents are so scary. I'm glad he's mostly ok.
I'm very glad he is okay, Liese.
I'm glad your SO is okay. Sounds like a scary accident.
Also - Woo hoo for Perkins and Kathy.
Liese, so sorry for DH. You tell him cars can be banged up, but DH's CANNOT! I bet we could hammer out the bodywork and get some grey primer paint and get that there car all set up.
