reinforce the stitches that are holding the skeleton hand on it
(giggles maniacally)
I still remember at the San Francisco F2F you asking someone to hand you your purse and - for some reason - felt the need to describe it. The pink, coffin-shaped purse.
The phone hasn't rung in an hour and a half.
So I turned my attentions once more to what the hell I want to do with the rest of my life, and I made the mistake of going to the website for Oxford University, and I think I want to take every single postgrad program they have. I am in academic bliss reading these course listings.
My one true bag -- and I mean one true bag, for I only ever use the one -- is from Queen Bee Creations. Apparently they call this style "Truckette"? [link]
Mine has a different design but is otherwise the same. It's small enough to be cute & easy to carry around, but big enough to carry everything I need, including a book, a notebook, phone, wallet, keys, iPod, chapstick, pens, gum, etc. etc. And I love that the strap can be made long enough so you can carry it across your body like a messenger bag. Truly, I will never love another.
Woot, Perkins!!
And woot for me too, for something not nearly as woo-alicious medically speaking, but for money-alicious. Just heard back from Progressive. They are giving me $12,000 for my six-y.o. Civic (top of the line value!), will give me the $500 deductible in a separate check as soon as they get it from the other guy's insurance company, and the adjuster told me to send her a scan of my new car's bill of sale so they can reimburse me for some of the tax/license/fees!!
This is the first time I've had to do anything with Progressive other than send them premiums, and I'm sticking with them after this really fantastic experience dealing with this really crappy accident.
Oh, that's good news, Kathy.
Ooh, love Queen Bee (though I think everyone and her sister has one here in Seattle--it's waterproof!). That's a good size. I have various bags--one I use a lot is smaller and one is bigger, but both are fabric, so not great for winter here. Something to put on the shopping list...
Yikes, Liese! Glad the SO is OK, but sucks about the car.
And yay Perkins!
And yay Kathy! That's excellent news.
