Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

High School was hair bands, rap, and classic rock. College was all about Nine Inch Nails, rap, grunge, emo, and 80s New Wave.

The last couple of months have been an obsession with all things Beastie Boys. I even did a drive by gawk of G-Son Studios in Atwater Village. To be fair, it's not really out of my way, but still. Beasties! Oh how I have been nursing a horrid crush on Adam Yauch forever.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ugh, Cash. I hope things are managed as stress-free as is remotely possible.

Not even "Stairway to Heaven"?

Couldn't have told you it was them, no. In fact, the GNR (right?) cover comes to mind almost as soon as the original.

GNR is my CIO's favourite band, BTW. Should there ever be a trivia competition about my IT department in your vicinity.

You weren't forced to listen to them, ad nauseum, for your entire high school career, I suspect.

No one had that much of an influence on my music listening in high school. It wasn't until I went to university that people got the ability to highjack me. Worked out well sometimes (cf Alice Cooper), but left me cold in a few others.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh jeez, Cash. Good luck dealing.

Mike D (with wife and kid) was one of my favorite NYC celebrity sightings, I have to say.

Then we are one. Paul's Boutique or Check Your Head?

I'm a Check Your Head girl.

not your mom's socks.

He says "tough call." but Paul's Boutique.

Also he looked at me like I was talking about him to people on the Internet.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Cash, I'm so sorry. Having dealt with Paranoid Schizophrenic Boyfriend for far too long, I can sympathize to a certain extent. The system is not well set-up to care for and manage such folk when they aren't hospitalized. Not too good at it when they are, either, sometimes.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh Cashmere, I am sorry. I hope it all somehow gets worked out without overwhelming levels of stress.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Paul's Boutique fo' sho'.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Paul's Boutique. Greatest album evah. That isn't some other album I decide is likewise greatest.
