Thanks, guys.
Do tell, Allyson.

I just put on outside clothes, jeans and a grey top with pretty lace on the back. That only happened cause I have a PT appt in an hour. Otherwise, I'd still be in jammie pants and a tank top.
I want Allyson details.
I wonder how many execs are napping in their fancy offices with the lockable doors over in the Big House across the field/parking lot.
Well, if they are salaried, it doesn't matter if they nap, as long as they get the work done. I am salaried, so I get the bonus of leaving early to go skating if my boss approves, which must look like heaven to the hourly peeps, but then again, I don't get OT so when I come in on weekends, I get paid nothing. And I work almost every weekend.
I'm happy to wait to nap on my lunchtime--except I'm not allowed to.
Boo! What's up with the Buffistas these days?
CV!!!! Hiya doin'?

I've been salaried for over 20 years, yet never found this to be true.
I am pretty sure I figured out Sparky's news, in which case WOOT!
And CV! Hello mama, how is life treating you?
While I'm salaried, I have to account for my hours. If I'm under 80 hours/pay period, I have to use my time off. If I'm over, I don't get OT unless all my time is client billable. Gotta love job cost accounting.
So, I get my hours in though I don't have set hours each day. When my anemia was really bad, I would take multiple mini mid-day naps, and get my work done over the course of the day.
Yeah, I've been salaried since my first few jobs...somehow, it almost always tends to be unpaid overtime rather than free time off!! (The rare exception being about a month three years ago when I had nothing to do, and a tiny bit of time earlier this year when my one project was ramping up). But whenever I've been in an office, it was so much more about appearances and shit than getting the job done.
