We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

Love that dress, Sue.

I think my Buffy staked Edward T is the only geeky T I own. I don't own a lot of Ts at all, really. I love this one, though.

So, the what made you smile question answered half the wardrobe of the day question. The rest is a pair of jeans, the sandals I linked to last night, my hair in a ponytail, no jewelry, no make-up. A grocery run and cleaning are on my domestic agenda today, and the work agenda is all electronic.

Because books.

So far I'm still in gray sweat shorts, a Panic at the Disco tee, and serious bedhead.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Do You Think Most People Try to Take Advantage of You?

This chart shows the result of (one question in) survey conducted by the World Values Survey (WVS) about Perceptions of Life: Do you think most people would try to take advantage of you if they got a chance, or would they try to be fair?

Results are by country. There's huge variation.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This Idris Elba song/video made me smile just now: [link]

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Cat AWW moment, Connie!

I rarely wear t-shirts with anything on them, although I do own a few geeky t-shirts.

information libertarian

I'm back to summer clothes, as we're back to highs in the 90s.

The Colbert Report came to my city: [link] I think they generally did a good job of "laughing with" rather than at. Lots of trying not to smile from the reporter. I especially like the State Climatologist (who just got fired by the governor, apparently for believing in global warming, oh Georgia).

Sleepbox 01 by Arch Group

Russian architects Arch Group have completed the first of their tiny hotel rooms for napping at airports.

The Sleepbox unit at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport contains two beds and can be rented for between 30 minutes and several hours.

From the folks who designed it:

Imagine the situation where you are in a modern city, you are not a local resident, and you have not booked a hotel. It is not a comfortable situation because modern aggressive cities give you no opportunity to rest and relax. If you want to sleep while waiting for your plane or train, you face many security and hygiene problems.

There really needs to be Sleepboxes everywhere....

The cows watching american jazz was interesting, but...why?

I am wearing jeans and a navy cami and a navy swoopy t-shirt material cardigan thingie. Yay, working from home.

Boo, however, on working. I decided (at, um, 9:40AM) that I needed a break. Also, my boss is asking for annoying things that I don't want to do (even if they are something I am supposed to do, i am against doing them in the timeline she wants)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Lovely dress, Sue.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have all kinds of geeky t-shirts. Seriously. This is one I wear around town all the time.
