I like pancakes 'cause they're stackable. Ooo, and waffles 'cause you can put things in the little holes if you wanted to.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Oh yes Jess, use them. I often get a check back from them on car because their pool is so safe. Me, nsm, so being in that pool helps.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

When I go in for pain treatment, I'm supposed to get 4mg dilaudid, 50 mg benadryl, compazine, and toradol IV all at once. That's very important that it's all like that, undilute, together.

Last time I went in "state protocol" mandated that I get the benadryl diluted in a bag and that they don't order the dilaudid until they have a look see. Delaying the benadryl means delaying the compazine, because I can't have the latter before the former.

I asked to see the attending, knowing no one likes to be escalated over, but fuck, this is my pain. The attending walked in, took one look at me, and said "They didn't order your dilaudid, did they?" and ordered it right away. It was too late to give everything all together, but they did manage to get it almost all in a row. I do hope that next time they don't put the benadryl in a bag, but it's always nice when escalation actually works.

When I went in to get the cath I was having a migraine, so they said they'd give me my cocktail. I told them how much dilaudid I got, and they said there's no way they can give that much. I have no idea how personal opinions on how much a facility can dispense of a medication can vary so.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

To Jess: We have USAA car insurance. Been good so far, but we haven't tested them with a big ol' claim either.

To ita !: Dang! I totally have daywear appropriate sequins, but they are at home and I am now at work. Call me next time it's sequin day.

To P-C: Happy birthday!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Comprehensive insurance made repairing my car far less of a hassle than it might have been. My policy covered things like towing the car to the repair shop and a rental car until it was repaired. While there are probably a limited number of repairs you might be willing to do on a 10 year old car, there might be situations where it would be useful.

But yeah, if the result of an accident is that you go back to not having a car around for a while, and you're already set up for that, comprehensive might be overkill.

Perhaps the problem is that so much of your treatment rests on the personal opinion of the practitioner. Shouldn't it be determined by the written orders of your doctor? So frustrating.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, Epic -- good luck to you and the kitty.

Shouldn't it be determined by the written orders of your doctor?

You'd think, wouldn't you??

Does anyone have a source for more Miss Universe pictures than are included here? [link]

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Happy Birthday, P-C!

You would think I'd be able to follow ita !'s sequin command, but strangely, I don't own anything with sequins. Will rhinestones do?

I feel like I've been beaten with sticks. And we still have things to finish in the basement before we release the kittens this afternoon.

I own a skirt with sequins (much like ita ! describes) but it is waiting to be laundered. I also own a sequined top, but that seems a bit much for lounging around the house working from home. Plus it's dry clean only, and I hate to go to the dry cleaner...
