Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

From a review on Amazon for Dragon Natural Speaking:

This product would not set up with my system. I do not have a unique system. It is an off-the-shelf PC with no erotic additions.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I'm off facebook today. I was asked to sing at a church today, but declined on the premise that if the church started going off on crazy patriotism confused with faith I was likely to storm out, and it would look worse if I was on the stage when it happened. I would normally not expect that, but this is the town where one church had the flag draped over the cross for, like, July 4th or something. Yeah, no.

Also, I miniflooded my house yesterday. It was sunny and clear when I left for church, so I debated, but then left the windows open. I know it's monsoon, but I figured it had been raining pretty steadily for a week, so it was about due to let up for a bit. I really only would have closed the west-facing windows if I'd decided to close them, but I left everything open. And of course megastorm happened, so my entire office was covered in water. Both of my cherry end tables got soaked, in two different rooms. The guest bed (cheap thrift shop foam) got soaked through. The dog's bed under my desk, completely soaked. Mic bag, mixer box, in the studio, all soaked. So far it looks like everything's recovering, but I felt awful about it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I went skating this morning and now am at work, where I have enough scutwork to occupy me for several hours.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Because Thursday is my last herceptin infusion (\\o/), today's trip to Target and TJs involved buying three extra large gift bags and then walking around finding snacky stuff to fill them as a thank you to the staff at the infusion center.

That was fun, but now I have to not eat everything before then.

Good thing those Klondike bars found me yesterday.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

That is most excellent, Perkins.

Yay, Perkins. I don't think you know how very inspiring you have been during this whole thing. I admire you very much and am so I know you.
