Anya, the Shopkeepers of America called. They wanted me to tell you that 'please go' just got replaced with 'have a nice day.'

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Stuff laundry sheets in your shoes, msbelle.

ita, I'm really sorry.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Another round of "What Scrappy said" from here.

Work is slow like a slow thing that is slow. I hate waiting for people to respond to questions. I think I may take a shower break.

We will have the 3 year old and the 7 month old dojo kids here for the afternoon. K-Bug is in charge of babysitting, but I plan on getting some snuggle time in with the little one.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Much ~ma for those of you facing cancer, flood, fire, sick twins, hurt toes, bad shoulders and whatever else is besetting beloved Buffistae.

Yes. I haven't been on much because I have a new boss and am working. But the universe needs to back off.

I like my new boss, and she is very nice. However, she listens to smooth jazz (which I hate) and I can smell the air freshener in her office in my office. Weirdly, it smells like Irish Spring to me. So far, no sneezing fits. It is probably going to be problematic if I have to have meetings in her office. I hate having that conversation.

Our wings are not tired.

Ack, Sophia. "Smooth jazz" is not related to actual jazz in any way. You poor thing. Glad she's nice, though.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've got a rather sweet Ford Focus for my rental car. The Enterprise guy gave me the "You know, we sell our cars!" spiel on the way over to pick up the Focus, which I was glad to hear since rental companies was going to be one of my choices for program cars to buy. They have a few lots locally to test drive and check out the cars, and they offer financing and extended warranties. I'll be heading over there tomorrow to check it out!

My boss approved my taking a half-day today, so I'll be leaving at 2:30. My first stop will be the local library to check out the Consumer Reports car issue, and then I'll do more research at home tonight for a list of places to shop at tomorrow.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've got a rather sweet Ford Focus for my rental car.

Cool. Is it a 2012? (They're all-new for that model year.)

I'm not sure! The paperwork doesn't mention the year. I'll have to see what the manual says (they usually keep the manual in the glove box, right?).

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Kathy, my parents bought a couple of their cars from Enterprise. Never had a problem with either of them (aside from the usual wear and tear).

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Smooth jazz helps pacify the squirrels in my head so I can get stuff done, though. It does have its uses.

ita, I'm sorry something that's supposed to make your life simpler and easier is making you more miserable at the moment, and I'd give a lot to be able to do something about it and make it better.

Kat, you are ironwoman, you really are. You're my hero.

Maria, every molecule of good thought is aimed in your direction. The ones that aren't aimed at ita and Kat--I have plenty.

Since the interjection conversation yesterday I've had YouTube up in another tab playing Schoolhouse Rock whenever I have a chance.

Kathy, how are you feeling today?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The Enterprise guy gave me the "You know, we sell our cars!" spiel on the way over to pick up the Focus, which I was glad to hear since rental companies was going to be one of my choices for program cars to buy.

I remember being advised against that on the theory that they only ever had the low grade gasoline and people drove them hard because they weren't theirs.

Which, okay, but I find it hard to believe that's really enough to counteract the fact that I'm sure they have very regular maintenance, and people are afraid to actually damage them. I wonder if milage might run high compared to other used cars.
