And I myself will be wearing pink taffeta as chenille would not go with my complexion.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It's the Smallville pilot! Bald Lex! Oh, those were the days.

I recorded this after reading your post! Mmm, Lex. I miss you and your evil, dude.

Milksoaked and then dried fruity pebbles (shut it, path of least resistance tonight, there was a 45 minute keening tantrum event unrelated to food-ignored it, but child has stamina and serious grudge powers*) and velveeta shell's cheese (ditto) need to be reclassified as high strength adhesive compounds.

Signed, they were soaking in the sink for TWO HOURS. And still...

OTOH, got both boys to stop fighting by... cleaning up. Yeah, I'm not the funnest aunt, but they are so comfortable with me, I can't complain.

* 45 minutes lying in the middle of everything, keening sobs at unrelenting volume. Everyone stepped over him, didn't address him, didn't made eye contact. He kept himself wound. Given how his brother reacted, this is par for the course. Kid is just STUBBORN. You have to roll over it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oy sarameg, that's painful. I guess I shouldn't complain when my kids have tantrums.

Given that I don't do this everyday, it was more funny than exasperating. I started making mental bets over how long he could last. Though, given phone calls with my brother, they do the same. Kid does know better than to pull this at, say, getting ready in the morning. He tried a little this morning, but pulled through at the last minute. He knows some things aren't negotiable, like the morning routine. This? It was after school, in their allotted Wii time, free time for the evening.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

What have I forgotten?

If my sad addiction to HGTV has taught me anything its that German apartments frequently come without kitchen appliances.

It has also taught me that frequently Americans moving abroad are better off renting than on both ends than selling their American house and purchasing one elsewhere.

Oh Sparky, all the getfound~ma in the world to Sass!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Poor, Sass. I hope somebody took her in and will get her chip checked tomorrow.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

What Hec said.

not your mom's socks.

So the fact that Boehner et al. donned a black mustache and cape, tied a woman to the budgetary train tracks, and then asked for more seems to be playing well in the US press. Is buffista island ready yet?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

At least the government's not shut down?

And I hope Sassafras is home by now....

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Much come-home~ma for Sassafras.
