Giles: I'm sure we're all perfectly safe. Dawn: We're safe. Right. And Spike built a robot Buffy to play checkers with. Tara: It sounded convincing when I thought it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Along the same lines, remember when Banana Republic sold like safari clothes?? The first (?) one in Cambridge had a jeep half in and half out of the store's front window. Exciting!

Because books.

Both of those chairs are awesome. I especially love the one Jesse linked. SO steampunky!

It's supposed to rain like this all week. Can someone wake me up next Monday? Ugh.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, I first went to Restoration Hardware because I love hardware stores, so I was initially disappointed, but I got over that and am now just disappointed that I can't actually afford anything they carry.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I've been avoiding Restoration Hardware. I'm weak and, well, so are my finances. I do, however, occasionally go through the architectural salvage store in my neighborhood. Amazing things ... some of which remind me of my grandparents' house.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm weak and, well, so are my finances.

That's the nice thing about RH. It's far enough into "oh hell no" range that I can moon over things without actually being at risk of succumbing.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Turned key, car would not start. Mechanic came down and took car away. I had a small nervous breakdown and need to stop sobbing before walking down to Enterprise to rent a car. I can't miss more work. I've spent all my vacation time.

I can't afford a new car. Please. Just please.

Tell me this is going to be okay.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

As of last night I am officially on a full news blackout to avoid 9/11 whiplash. Had to change my alarm this morning off of NPR. I must remember to flat out avoid any real-time tv.

ION, calorie counting continues to suck, but it IS affecting my choices and I did some stretching last night for the first time in well over a year, so that's good.

It will be OK, Allyson.

Yep. I'm skimming very quickly around the internets as well.
