Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We got the Restoration Hardware book/catalog in my office, and it is killing me with want. Like, I had no idea I wanted something like this [link] but DO I EVER.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We just got that, Jesse. I've been browsing house porn for days.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, flea!

Mmm, Restoration Hardware. I don't know that I've ever bought anything from them but I do love to browse there.

I kind of want to go to an event with Neil DeGrasse Tyson and hold up a big sign that says I AM OKAY WITH PLUTO BEING A DWARF PLANET

It's ridiculous/incredible. I am in love with the midcentury-steampunk thing.

The only thing I have from Restoration Hardware is a replica India Company tea set: it's a little tea pot with two smaller pots that sit on top, for the sugar and the cream. Unfortunately, it's coated with silver, which makes it (a) impossible to handle when it's filled with hot water; and (b) tarnish. So it looks nice but I can't use it and I have to polish it.

hip deep in pie

I was so disappointed when I finally went into a Restoration Hardware. I thought it was going to be an old-timey hardware place...not furniture porn.

I love to browse. DH doesn't like their distressed pieces, though. He's a huge fan of John Pawson and we'd live like Cistercian monks if he had his way.

information libertarian

I was totally Sue WRT Restoration Hardware. I actually went there for the first time looking for odd-sized 1920s vintage drawer pulls. They have nice drawer pulls, but not for vintage furniture!

Calli, that chair! OMG.

I want to challenge Neil DeGrasse Tyson to a a game of Scrabble. No reason. I just want to.

I think they started out more that way and then caught the Pottery Barn bug and transformed.
