Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Product rec: Dior Iconic Mascara. I loves it.

Ooh! Thanks, I need a mascara rec. Mascara is the last makeup thing I have refused to do. I have long straight eyelashes, so I'll need a curler too. My mom's male cousins got all the gorgeous thick curly hair and gorgeous thick curly eyelashes.

Erin, you might be able to get away with just putting Frontline or Advantage on the upstairs cats, but if the downstairs animals have a lot of fleas, you may have to Frontline them too after they are bathed, I dunno how long a dip will last, but I think the Frontline or Advantage will last longer and be a bit less stressful on everyone. The dip may/may not kill any fleas that are in the house, and those suckers will jump back on a freshly bathed critter and lay eggs, so at least the Frontline will kill 'em if they bite, and the eggs too.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I have short, sparse eyelashes, but the Latisse thing about possibly changing the color of eyes freaks me out.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I don't remember exactly when I started subscribing to Sassy, but I know I read every word of every issue of the last 3 years before it was turned into a weaksauce version of Seventeen, and I never ever cut a single page out of any of them. They live in a box in my dad's closet for now, along with almost every Spy from 1991 through about a year after its near-death experience. If I can manage to restock my lost collection of McSweeney's early issues, that'll be Matilda's college fund right there.

New Skulduggery Pleasant

I am sooooo jealous. I have no idea when/if I will get my hands on it. Bro is packing up his house as I type this - he is US bound in a week (yay!) so I'm probably gonna have to order it and then he'll probably steal it.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have long eyelashes and lots of hair on my head. Unfortunately, due to my Italian genes, I also have long lush hair everywhere else. And due to my other genes, I am super pale. So frankly, I worry much more about hair removal than hair growth. I tend to think even a lot of people who let their leg hair grow would be taken aback by my unremoved mustache and chin hair.

New Skulduggery Pleasant

I am sooooo jealous.

Kicking evil very hard in the face!

t edit I still can't cope with Tanith having a Remnant. I'm not expecting it to be fixed in this book -- that would be WAY too easy -- but I really hope it's eventually fixed.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

ELF makes a nice, cheap curler. I hardly ever curl my lashes, but I DO use mascara -- if flush, Lancome's Definicils is my One True Mascara, but L'Oreal's Voluminous (NOT THE CARBON BLACK one, it smears like whoa) is my cheap choice. (Lancome owns L'Oreal, so a lot of their products are very similar.)

Out of idle interest, what's everyone's go-to products for getting out of the house face? Not fancy face -- just whack it on, going to the store or work face?

I wash with Olay Sensitive, use Aveeno's Scrub for Sensitive Skin, and Olay's Regeneriste in the am.

Then I use Lancome's Effecernes for blemishes, undereye and evening around the nose. Tarte blush stick, then Philosophy mineral powder on my t-zone.

Sephora's Gel liner in Moss Green, Smashbox's Gold shadow, Voluminous mascara in Black. Brush my brows into shape.

MAC's lip balm in Tender Fuschia, or Clinique's Black Honey.

Takes 5 minutes.
