Good news: it is cool enough that we opened our house up! YAY!
Bad news: Opening the house up...to allergens. My nose was so stuffed/running like mad last night that I couldn't sleep until 7 am. And my eyes are swollen like a turgid member in a bad romance novel. (Ew, the visual on that simile.)
Good news: All the pets are alive!
Bad news: They all have fleas.
Good news: I got work done this weekend!
Bad news: I didn't complete anything, and I am now taking a break from working since I can't type for 30 secs without blowing my nose. I am totally a mouth-breather today, yo.
Going to shower allergens out of my hair and head to Target for Benadryl since the daily allergy meds are not cutting it. Bleargh.
Bad: My house is a mess.
Badder: It will have to stay a mess until tomorrow, because any dust or cleaning fumes going up my nose today will exacerbate The Clog/Runny Nose of Doom.
Good: I think I can manage to put the clean laundry away.
Do you have Anna Karina's "Roller Girl"? 'Cuz you need it and I can hook you up.
No! I have "Roller Girls" by the Soviettes, "Roller Derby Saved My Soul" by Uncle Leon and the Alibis, FIVE entirely different "Roller Derby Queen"--Jim Croce, The Young Moderns, the Psychobilly Kadillaks, the Gentz, and Young Moderns. And "Roller Derby Girl" by the Chiggers.
Sweet Zombie Jesus, I've found my Halloween treat!
I know I have had this realization before, but still: Given that inertia is my biggest enemy, it is SO SMART when I do stuff after work BEFORE sitting down! And it's especially easy to do when I'm listening to a podcast that's in the middle when I get home. So I kept listening, put up my new shower curtain liner, emptied and re-filled the dishwasher, and now I have much less shame! Awesome.
Timelies all!
Like much of the East Coast, we have rain. No wonder it feels like a Monday.
Has anybody heard from ita lately?
Well, it doesn't help that the maryland State flag is the godawfulest flag ever. Fugly.
I like the Maryland state flag. It's got neat angles and bright colors. Plus, it's clear from a distance. New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania all have flags with little details pictures in the middle that just look like a blur from more than a few feet away.
I don't really like it as a football, uniform, though. A bit too Harlequin.
Scrappy, that just made my day.
So if a fuse blows, but doesn't flip over to 'off', for no apparent reason, why might that be? This question is filed by the ogodogodawe'reallgoingtodie faction of my Me.
ita was on LJ three days ago.
The good news about today: Feels like a Monday, is actually a Tuesday!
Did someone post about the Freddie Mercury Google logo today? If feel like someone did, but I just saw it again on my FB feed, so...
Other good news about today: I still have peach cobbler.
Which I will eat after dinner. After, not for. I think that's very adult of me.
