I'm just trying to tell you that we have nothing in common besides both of us liking your penis.

Because books.

Over the last four months, my closet became the Official Dumping Ground for almost everything. It's going to take, like, two days to cull and organize, so I'm waiting till I get the revisions done. I figure at that point I can switch out summer-to-fall, too.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I've found an ancient spiral notebook containing an unpublished, unfinished fanfic for The Sentinel. It was a pretty good preslash casefic. Oh, and here's another one, where Blair and Mulder are old friends. Doubt I'll ever finish writing them now.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I may be able to swing lunch or something in Seattle on the 17th.

It all depends on how our Kitchen Destruction and Reconstruction is going.

And I can put a date to this notebook, because on the last page are the notes I made during my interview for my current job! December 1999.

I wonder if all the slash fic was already written in here when I was carrying it to my desperately important interview for the best job of my life? Yeah, probably.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I found an old notebook but haven't opened it yet. Hmm...oh, it's a prayer journal. Huh. Guess I fell off that habit over the summer.

But! I finished the flylady "weekly home blessing hour," which, yeah, really hate that name, and had to cranky at her some while listening to the audio talk-through, but! I finished. And it's nice.

So, lunch break, which will likely involve some catching up on Who, and then tackling the office. It smells cleaner, anyway, after having been swept and mopped. I'll need to do it all again once I clear the detritus from the edges, but flylady assured me I only had to do the middles for right now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I went to Target. It doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment for 3pm, but I guess I'll take it.

I just came across a note to myself that said, "Donate more to Buffistas. You suck."

Um, yes, ma'am. Off to PayPal. hangs head

Hey, Sparky... one of my friends from the DC area posted a link to today's article about Sass before I even did, just because she saw the article. I thought that was a pretty awesome testament to how what you guys are doing for Sass continues to reach and touch people.

Her post reads:

Keeping the faith for Sassafras.

Her comment on my post reads (just passing along her good wishes):

I posted this too -- great minds think alike! And agree about the quote you cite. Good people, good dog. So hope for happy ending.

Indeed.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Zen, you totally rock! FLAMING ANGELS.

But! I finished the flylady "weekly home blessing hour," which, yeah, really hate that name, and had to cranky at her some while listening to the audio talk-through, but! I finished. And it's nice.

Batlady calls it "weekly atonement hour."

Okay, I have emptied and put away a bunch of purses and bags, scooped the cat pans, took out trash, collected nearly all the laundry I have to do (dog is lounging on bed, need to strip sheets), gathered laundry supplies (quarters, detergent, work to do, stuff to read), cleared off the coffee table, tidied my nightstand, added to my staggering piles of recycling (don't have a bin yet, you have to register and the one time I tried it didn't work - yes, 3 months of recycling piled up), and now it's off to do All The Laundry. No really. I swears. Going now.
